Mrs. Joan Dudley<jdudley@wcastl.org; 314-878-6424> is an instructor of Spanish. She earned a B.S. and a M.Ed. from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She has completed nine hours of graduate-level Spanish courses through Webster University and is currently working on her Ph.D. at Saint Louis University. Dudley has twenty-five years’ professional experience. She taught six years as an elementary teacher in public schools. After time off to start a family, she resumed her career, teaching Spanish. She has taught Spanish at pre-school, elementary school, middle school, high school, and university levels. Besides teaching Spanish courses at MBU, she teaches full-time at Westminster Christian Academy, where she chairs the foreign language department.

Mrs. Florence J. Lewis <lewisfj@mobap.edu or jbfjlewis@sbcglobal.net; 314-993-1255> is an instructor of English. She holds a B.A. in French Language from Smith College, Northampton, Massachusetts, and an M.A. in French Literature from Washington University in St. Louis. Mrs. Lewis taught French for two years at John Burroughs School in the late 1960s. She joined the faculty at Westminster Christian Academy in St. Louis in 1979, where she served as teacher of French and Latin and director of Admissions until June 2006. While at Westminster, Mrs. Lewis and her husband led ten three-week trips to Europe with over 300 students and adults.
Dr. Jeffery Lunn <jeffandjan@sbcglobal.net; 314-731-5766> is an instructor of religion. He earned a B.A. from Southwest Baptist University, an M.Div. from Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary, and a D.Min. from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary.
Dr. Rick Maclin <maclir@mobap.edu; 314-392-2346> is the dean of advisement and adult programs and professor of business administration. He also teaches MBU’s Ministry and Leadership courses at Friendly Temple Church in St. Louis. He earned his A.A. from Illinois Central College, B.A. from the University of Illinois-Springfield, and M.A. from Bradley University and a Ph.D. from Saint Louis University. He did additional studies at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and at Webster University. He has designed and presented a number of workshops on developing church leaders in both small and large congregations. Topics have included “Leading in the Midst of Conflict,” “Leading and the Family,” “Being Men after God’s Heart,” “Character of a Leader” and “Discovering Your Calling.” He has sixteen years of pastoral experience and has written newspaper and magazine articles throughout his career.
Dr. Jo Ann Miller <millerj@mobap.edu> is an associate professor of English and education. She has served the university in several administrative and teaching positions: dean of students, assistant academic dean, director of teacher education and executive director for constituent relations. She has taught in the Education, Fine Arts and Humanities divisions.
She holds a B.A. from Missouri Baptist University, an M.Ed. from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and a Ph.D. from St. Louis University. She also did additional work at Webster University and Southwest Baptist University. Dr. Miller is listed in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in American Education. She is a member of Sigma Tau Delta, the international English honor society. She is a recipient of the Parkway Distinguished Professor Award and was selected to participate in the Missouri Education Policy Fellowship Program of the Institute for Educational Leadership. Dr. Miller has been a presenter at several state and national conferences.
Her publications include “The Lengthened Shadow: A Study of the College President and His Influence through the Fulfillment of the College Mission,” “College Histories: Missouri Baptist College,” “The Church’s Role in Ministering to Families under Fire,” “Building Relationships: The Key to Successful Learning” (co-authored with Dr. Arlen Dykstra) and “The Rich Heritage of Our Community.”
In 2005, Dr. Miller retired from full-time employment and now enjoys part-time teaching with free time to pursue additional interests in genealogy, travel, scrapbooking and needlecrafts. She is married and has two children and five grandchildren.
