Submit Your Official Transcripts
- Official transcripts* from all previously attended colleges, universities, and post-secondary institutions (this includes any courses posted as transfer credits from other institutions). Transcripts must be sent directly from the issuing institution via mail or electronic delivery. Electronically submitted transcripts can be sent to graduateadmissions@mobap.edu. Any transcript received by fax, postal mail directly from a student, or hand-delivered will not be accepted as an official copy. This includes transcripts that are unopened and marked as official.

*Students graduating from Missouri Baptist University’s undergraduate, masters’ or specialist programs do not need to resubmit transcripts that are already on file.

Admission requirements vary by program! Depending on which graduate program you are applying to, you may be required to submit additional documents for admission. Once you complete the free application, an enrollment counselor will reach out to walk you through your next steps.
File Your FAFSA
When filling out your FAFSA, make sure to use our Title IV code: 007540. This will allow our financial aid team to determine what loans, grants and scholarships you may be eligible for.

How do I apply for graduate school?
The graduate application can be completed online. The application is free and only takes a few minutes to complete.
What do I need to submit?
Applicants should request official transcripts from any colleges/ universities previously attended. Official transcripts may be sent directly to MBU, either electronically or by mail. Additional admission requirements vary by program. Once you apply, an enrollment counselor will reach out to walk you through any additional documents required for admission.
What is the minimum GPA requirement for graduate school?
For full acceptance into most of our master’s programs, a minimum of a 2.75 GPA is required. If a student has between a 2.5-2.74 GPA, they may be admitted on probation.
Please note, the Master of Science in Nursing program requires a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.
For full acceptance into the educational specialist program, a minimum of a 3.0 GPA is required.
For full acceptance into a doctoral program, a 3.25 GPA or higher is required.
When can I get my financial aid?
Graduate students must be admitted before financial aid is processed and applied. This includes athletic scholarships and grants. If a student is approved to start coursework before obtaining full acceptance, financial aid cannot be applied until acceptance has been obtained.
Are there any deadlines?
With the exception of the social work, counseling, and doctoral programs, we do not have official deadlines but it is strongly recommended to start the application process 6-8 weeks prior to the start date. This allows ample time for acceptance and registration.
What is the transcript policy?
Official Transcripts must be sent directly to MBU from the institution. Only transcripts sent through the mail or electronically directly from the institution or electronic clearing house to: graduateadmissions@mobap.edu will be accepted as official. Any transcript received by fax, by mail from a student, or hand delivered cannot be accepted as an official copy – even if the transcript is unopened and marked official.

How can I check on my status?
The MyMBU student portal on the mobap.edu website provides timely updates on what has been received. Students may also call the Online & Graduate Enrollment Services Office at any time to check on their status. Please allow 1-2 business days for documentation to update.
