Gordon Reiter - Staff Profile
Head Men's Cross Country Coach / Head Men's Track & Field Coach.
Coach Reiter makes the transition to Head Men's Track & Field Coach and Head Men's Cross Country Coach this year after serving as an Assistant for the Track and Field program this past year. Coach Reiter has already served as the Head Men's Cross Country Coach.
"I'm really happy to be here and look forward to a good season", Coach Reiter said. He continued, "The Men's Track and Field and Cross Country programs are healthy." Coach Reiter gives a lot of the credit for the program's talent to previous MBU Track and Field Head Coach, Vincent Bingham.
Coach Gordon's MBU Men's Cross Country team had a successful season in 2006, winning the American Midwest Conference Championship, (for the third year in a row), placing third in the NAIA Region V meet, and boasting of one All-American in returning senior Denis-Bul Olinga. Coach Reiter was also named AMC Coach of the Year.
Coach Reiter joined the MBU Cross Country and Track and Field program in 2006 after several successful years at Maryville University in St. Louis. While at Maryville, Coach Reiter’s program developed into one of the best in the SLIAC, coaching multiple conference champions along with sending athletes to the NCAA D-III National Championship Meet.
Before joining the Maryville staff, Coach Reiter was one of the most respected high school coaches in the St Louis area. He coached for 28 years at Parkway South High School, with his athletes earning numerous All-State accolades.
