Head Coach Deno Merrick
Deno
is entering his second year as Head Coach for both the Men and Women Soccer
Program at Missouri Baptist University. He played his senior year at Missouri
Baptist and he also plays for his national team of Antigua. He holds a degree
in Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and a minor in Business
Administration. Deno also recently graduated with his Masters Degree in
Education with emphasis in Sports Management at Missouri Baptist University.
As a coach Deno matured in his ability to teach and management young players.
Deno is very excited going into his second year as head coach at MBU and
is looking forward to improving both programs and maintain the success on
and off the field.
Deno was one of the most influential players on the MBU team during his
senior season. He was chosen as an All Conference player and honorable mention
All Regional. Deno also participated in the United Soccer League (USL) for
the local St. Louis Lions Premier Development League in there second season.
Deno helped the Lions reach the playoff for the first time in the team’s
history and also helped them to another winning season with a record of
10-6-0.
Assistant Coach Kelly Prince
Kelly
Prince is entering her first year as Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach
at Missouri Baptist University, after serving as the Graduate Assistant
last year. She is an alumnus of the MBU, where she received a Bachelor’s
degree in History. While attending Missouri Baptist University, she was
a four year starter and served as the team captain, as well as earning various
awards and honors throughout her career as a Lady Spartan. Coach Prince,
a native of Chicago, is currently working towards her Master's degree in
Secondary Education.
