Meet the President

Dr. Keith Ross assumed the presidency of Missouri Baptist University in 2018 and began his tenure at MBU in 1992. He is the seventh president in the institution’s history and the first alumnus to serve in this role. Previously Dr. Ross served as MBU’s Senior Vice President for University Advancement, overseeing the areas of undergraduate enrollment, development, marketing and communications, financial services, alumni relations and special events. As head of advancement, Ross successfully led three major fund-raising campaigns that have provided resources to further MBU’s Christ centered mission. Also under his leadership, the enrollment management team executed a comprehensive student recruitment plan that has grown undergraduate, graduate and online enrollment significantly over the last decade.

President Ross has also overseen the launch of several new academic programs, including a master’s in science in social work, a master of science in nursing, an accelerated bachelor of science in nursing, as well as several new online majors. During Dr. Ross’s tenure, the University has consistently ranked as a St. Louis Post Dispatch Top Workplace in the region.

In 1987, Dr. Ross earned a bachelor of arts in religion from MBU. He earned a master of arts in organizational leadership in 2008 from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In 2014, he earned his doctorate of education in higher education leadership from Maryville University in St. Louis. Additionally, President Ross has completed post graduate work at Harvard University’s Institute for Educational Leadership.

Dr. Ross and his wife, Ginger, have been married for thirty-two years and have one daughter, Madaline, married to Brad Holder. Their mini Goldendoodle, Magnolia Bleu, is a student favorite and often attends University events. The Rosses are members of Fellowship of Wildwood church in West St. Louis County and are involved in a variety of organizations in the community.
