Association of Black Collegians (ABC)

The purpose of the ABC is to promote unity of the black student body by bridging the gap between administration, faculty, student government, and the black student population while providing educational information on black history with relevance to a multiracial student body.

Accounting Club

The Accounting Club promotes career activities and opportunities in accounting, prepares students for the business environment with an ethical focus, and develops camaraderie with other accounting students. Activities include visiting accounting professionals, field trips, tutoring opportunities and encouragement to participate in professional organizations’ student events and programs.

Alpha Chi

Alpha Chi is a coeducational honor society that promotes and honors academic excellence and exemplary character among university students. Members are students from all academic disciplines who comprise the top 10 percent of the junior and the senior classes.

Anthem

Anthem is a club where MBU students can explore their God-given creative abilities with a focus on songwriting and music producing. We will approach topics such as “how to write melodies” and “what it takes to produce an EP/album”. Our desire is to unite the community, excellence, and morals of MBU with the talents and callings that students already have. We want to be your first fanbase and have you join our family. So bust out a pen and some paper, and let’s find a piano, friend!

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)

MBU Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) meets at various locations on the Main Campus for weekly Huddle Meetings. This group is geared towards athletes and how sports are a means of glorifying God both on and off the field. The huddle provides a space for athletes to hear and respond to the Gospel, receive encouragement and live in ongoing fellowship with each other.

Gamma Delta Sigma (GDS)

Gamma Delta Sigma is a group of MBU women dedicated to the enhancement of the college experience through spiritual growth, academic success, and social-service involvement. GDS is committed to fostering future leaders through Spartan athletic activities, philanthropic activities, and the unity of their sisterhood.

Kappa Delta Pi

Kappa Delta Pi is an international education honor society comprised of undergraduate and graduate students, university faculty and administrators, classroom teachers, school administrators, retired educators and honorary members. Kappa Delta Pi strives to promote excellence, recognize honor students and acknowledge outstanding contributions to education. The MBU chapter is open to highly-achieving students planning careers in the field of education.

Math and Science Club

The Math and Science Club provides a forum for discussion, seminars and activities for students interested in mathematics and science. Activities include trips off campus to hear speakers, field trips, displays, publications and visits to encourage the study of science and mathematics.

MBU Outdoors

MBU Outdoors empowers students to explore outside, grow in community, pursue passions, stay active without being competitive, and experience God in his creation.

Ministerial Alliance (MA)

MBU’s Ministerial Alliance provides students who are going into the ministry with a group that is visible on campus, active in service, and supportive of their call. Students can further their walk with students around them and with God as we study the Bible, fellowship with one another, and serve together. Any student, regardless of degree program, interested in serving in any capacity of ministry is welcome and encouraged to join.

Morgan’s Message

Morgan’s Message strives to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health within the student-athlete community and equalize the treatment of physical and mental health in athletics. We aim to expand the dialogue on mental health by normalizing conversations, empowering those who suffer in silence, and supporting those who feel alone.

The National Association for Music Education – Collegiate (NAfME-C) Chapter

The National Association for Music Education – Collegiate (NAfME-C) chapter of MBU is an organization that provides student interested in music education with opportunities for professional development, teaching experience, networking, and building a professional community in the music education program at MBU. NAfME-C is open to all students.

Nurses Christian Fellowship (NCF)

Nurses Christian Fellowship helps you navigate this intensive learning process in clinicals or practice and find a foundation for your life and nursing practice that is centered in the love and truth of Jesus Christ. Our vision is for students and nurses to know and follow Jesus in nursing.

Pre-Healthcare Professionals

Pre-Healthcare Professionals club’s purpose is to help prepare students for their post undergraduate studies by helping plan for the medical school admissions process, to provide an atmosphere of knowledge and sharing, to promote humanitarian actions, and to facilitate social and academic networks.

SAAC

The mission of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council is to support Intercollegiate Athletics at Missouri Baptist University (MBU) by providing a forum in which student-athletes and athletic administrators, through the expression of ideas and thoughtful examination of mutual interests and concerns, enhance the athletics experience at MBU for the student-athletes, the campus community, and the community-at-large.

The Missouri Baptist University (MBU) Student Athlete Advisory Council serves as a liaison between the athletic teams and the Department of Athletics in the development of support services, student representation, and enrichment programs for student-athletes, by providing input on athletic departmental direction, policy and programming.

Sigma Zeta

Sigma Zeta is a national, undergraduate honor society with the purpose to encourage and foster scholarly activity and recognize academic scholarship in the natural and computer sciences and mathematics. To be eligible for membership, students must have a major in the natural sciences or mathematics, have junior/senior standing, and hold an overall GPA of 3.5.

Spartans for Life (SFL)

Spartans for Life’s mission is to inform our campus community about the rights of the pre-born and the availability of life-affirming resources, while providing students with opportunities to actively promote life in the culture. We hold meetings once a month, and several times throughout each semester SFL organizes community service opportunities, including partnering with Coalition for Life during their 40 Days for Life campaign.

Student Government Association (SGA)

SGA establishes student organizations, aids students in their involvement in those organizations, and advocates for the concerns of the student body to university administration. The SGA also has a budget to help fund activities for those organizations that regularly attend meetings. Meetings are held Thursdays after chapel in the conference room on the bottom floor of the Field Building.

Student Missouri State Teachers Association (S-MSTA)

S-MSTA is a pre-professional organization composed of education students and others interested in a career in teaching. The chapter provides its members with opportunities for professional growth, developing leadership skills, understanding the teaching profession and participating in professional activities at local and state levels.

The 300

The 300 is a student-lead organization that brings students together to support Missouri Baptist Universities sports programs. With MBU sports being extremely successful, it is easy to support them. The 300 tries to make games fun for the fans, and hard for our competitors. Our goal at the end of the day is to make sure we as students do all we can to help MBU get the Win!
