Chapman joined the president’s cabinet in 2019 as the University’s first Vice President of Enrollment, Marketing and University Communications. Leading the marketing, university communications, undergraduate main campus, graduate and online enrollment teams, Chapman works to create a cohesive and compelling brand experience for prospective students.
Under Chapman’s leadership, the University’s undergraduate admissions team has recruited its two largest freshmen classes, online enrollment has grown exponentially and the University has significantly expanded its marketing and recruitment footprint.
Previously, he served as the associate vice president of university communications and marketing at MBU. In this role, Chapman initiated a rebrand of the University, introducing the University’s brand expression “Shine On,” and was instrumental in launching MBU Online. Since the launch of MBU Online, students can earn more 11 undergraduate and 18 graduate degrees completely online.
Chapman holds an M.A. in Media Communication from Webster University and a B.A. in Technical Journalism from Colorado State University. From 2014-2022, Chapman served as a commissioner for the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU).
Chapman and his wife, Carrie, reside in Chesterfield, Mo., with their three children, Ruby, Neve and Bostic.
