Ana is a Spanish Professor at MBU. She started learning Spanish at a young age from her dad, a Cuban immigrant. She lived a semester in Mexico studying at Universidad De Las Americas – Puebla. She continued to use Spanish as she taught students of Spanish speaking families in the Saint Louis Public School system.
Currently, Ana lives in St. Louis city with her husband and their children. Besides her work at MBU, she is the Executive Director of a Childcare Center in South County. She is an avid reader and always looking for good book recommendations.
As a professor, she hopes to pass on three things to her students. First, she hopes they are able to impress themselves as they take on the challenge of learning a new language. Second, she hopes she can encourage them to take the opportunity to study aboard. Finally, she hopes that as students are introduced to new cultures throughout her class, they can grow in their love for the diversity of people that God has created in His image.
