Classroom Accommodation Application Process - Missouri Baptist University (Mobap)
  • Classroom Accommodation for returning or incoming MBU students Fall semester:
    Students may begin applying for classroom accommodations beginning May 1, 2025 – August 1, 2025. Email the Office of Student Accessibility Services for an appointment to discuss next steps!

    Any classroom accommodation application received after August 1, 2025 may not be processed in time for the beginning of the fall semester.

If you are a MBU student who receives approved accommodations through Student Accessibility Services, here are a few reminders from our office:

1. Renew your VISA (verification of individual student accommodations).
Our office sends an email to your STUDENT ACCOUNT towards the end of each semester asking if you wish to renew your accommodations for the following semester.

2. Reply!
If we do not receive a reply from you after two attempts, your file and accommodations become inactive and you will need to reapply .

3. Renew quickly!
Accommodations are valid from the date our office signs the VISA form until the end of the semester. Accommodations are not retroactive.

4. Be responsible!
You are responsible for sharing your VISA with each professor every semester you receive a VISA. The professor is not responsible for providing the accommodations if the professor never received the VISA.

5. Self-Advocate.
Disability is a journey that can bring changes affecting your success here at MBU. Please contact our office when these changes occur so we can better assist you. This may include revising your current accommodations.
