Mission Statement
A variety of traditional majors frequently obtained by students who are accepted into law schools include English, Business, History, Communications, Liberal Arts, Criminal Justice, and Philosophy. For students seeking a professional degree in law, Missouri Baptist University provides guidance on attaining such a degree.
The American Bar Association (ABA) does not recommend any specific undergraduate program major or minor to prepare for a legal degree. Instead, students are encouraged to choose courses in an area of study that interests and challenges them. Courses that develop a student’s writing and research skills and abilities are highly recommended. A broad range of challenging courses taught by teachers with high expectations is the best preparation for a professional legal education and career.
