AS in Pre-Nursing Program Overview

The Associate of Science in Pre-Nursing is a program at Missouri Baptist University for advanced programs like the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and ultimately to advance your career in the field of nursing. If you don’t desire to pursue a BSN degree, an associate’s in pre-nursing equips you to thrive in a vast number of entry-level positions in the health and science industry.

What Can I Do With an Associate of Science in Pre-Nursing?

After completing your Associate of Science in Pre-Nursing you will have all the required courses to be eligible for MBU’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

MBU’s School of Nursing will give current MBU pre-nursing students preference for the BSN program. Our BSN cohort admits only 24 students every year in order to provide the best education and allow you to have a one-on-one experience with instructors. MBU pre-nursing students would be given preferential consideration over transfer students if all admission criteria are equal.

At Missouri Baptist University, you’ll use technology to learn how to communicate relevant patient data, manage care, mitigate error, and support clinical judgment and evidence-based nursing practice. MBU is the only evangelical Christian University in St. Louis, MBU’s program will fill an important role in St. Louis and beyond as it aims to intersect innovative preparation with Christian perspectives, integrating personal faith in the practice of nursing while serving in a global and culturally diverse society.
