Position Information

Missouri Baptist University is looking to hire an Advancement Services Coordinator which is a full-time position. The Advancement Coordinator works with the University Advancement and Alumni Engagement office.  They will be responsible for processing gifts, donor acknowledgements and various financial reports.  In addition, they will maintain and enhance stewardship programs.  Other responsibilities include data and gift entry to ensure that all cash gifts, stock donations and pledges are accurately recorded in the Raiser’s Edge database and reconciled with the Business Office.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct gift entry to include check processing, creating batches in two databases, acknowledgements and updating acknowledgement letter templates.
  • Produce and analyze donor and gift reports to assist Development and Alumni Relations in active prospect discovery, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship management.
  • Support the Development team with training and techniques to effectively utilize Raiser’s Edge software to meet fundraising goals, manage donor lists and conduct  constituency research through programs such as Research Point, LinkedIn, social media and various other resources.
  • Provide administrative support for the University Advancement Office to include review/delivery of Board meeting materials, general office management, produce major gift proposals and assist with implementation of strategies, planning execution and follow up of Development, Alumni and Career focused events.
  • Collaborate with MBU faculty and staff, alumni, Alumni Council Members, donors and students to advance philanthropic and engagement goals of the Advancement Office and provide training and support for University-wide crowdfunding efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Vice President for University Advancement.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma and 2 years of experience in an office setting
  • Computer experience in browsers, search engines, MS Office, Outlook and databases

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Prior experience with budgets/accounting
