Position Summary
The School of Humanities and Theology at Missouri Baptist University is seeking a full-time faculty member in theology, starting August 2025. The preferred candidate will primarily teach theology and philosophy courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels (both face-to-face and online), but teaching assignments could also include biblical studies, church history, or practical ministry courses. Typical credit hour load is 12-12-3. Ideally, the candidate will engage productively in research, writing, and speaking professionally according to their scholarly interests.
Required
- PhD in Theology, Philosophy, Christian History, Old Testament (Hebrew Bible), New Testament, or related field.
- Experience serving in ministry, either vocationally or as a volunteer.
- Potential for scholarly activity in the field.
- The successful candidate will be expected to become an active member of a church that partners with the Missouri Baptist Convention.
Preferred
- Teaching experience at the college level with competency in the Canvas LMS.
- Preference given to those with a proven track record of publication.
