Freshman Admissions Counselor - Missouri Baptist University (Mobap)

Position Information

Missouri Baptist University is looking to hire a Freshman Admissions Counselor is a full-time position. The Freshman Admissions Counselor plays a crucial role in recruiting and guiding prospective students through the admissions process.  This position requires a dynamic individual who is passionate about higher education and can effectively communicate the value of a Christian Liberal Arts education to a diverse audience.  The Freshman Admissions Counselor is responsible for managing a designated recruitment territory conducting outreach activities, and providing exceptional support to prospective students and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a territory’s potential enrollment pool from the inquiry stage to registration to achieve the established enrollment goal.
  • Coordinate and manage a travel schedule, attend college fairs, visit high schools and churches, conduct campus tours, and manage travel expenses and reimbursements.
  • Engage in various forms of digital student and family correspondence, and ongoing communication, and advise prospective students about educational opportunities, admission standards, financial assistance, and university policies while keeping detailed records in the University’s CRM.
  • Provide hospitable in-person guidance to prospective students and their families throughout the admissions process.  Conduct campus tours, information sessions, presentations, and individual meetings to highlight the benefits of a Christian education at the university.
  • Collaborate and participate in on-campus and off-campus recruiting events with the enrollment team to execute admissions events and other university functions.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors Degree

Preferred Education/Experience

Experience in student recruitment and admissions processes
