In the College of Business & Entrepreneurship’s School of Accounting, Business Administration, & Technology, the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program prepares students with relevant skills to advance in their professional careers and studies. The program accomplishes this mission through curriculum tied to industry expectations coupled with instruction in the ethical, Biblical Christian philosophy, and diversity principles which serve as the basis of our society and economy. The pedagogical emphasis is on the application of critical thinking for identifying and solving business problems.
The MBA program is designed for active business professionals and individuals with undergraduate degrees, regardless of degree concentration. Our unique program feature allows students with a bachelor’s degree in a field other than business to seek their Master of Business Administration. There are no prerequisites for Missouri Baptist University’s core MBA courses, making the transition to graduate business study convenient for all college graduates.
CHOOSE A CONCENTRATION
Students can choose to pursue a General MBA degree (with no concentration) for a total of 30 credit hours or choose one of the following possible concentration areas for a total of 39 credit hours: Accounting, Sport Management, Sport Marketing, Strategic Management, Healthcare Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Data Analytics, or Cybersecurity.

This concentration provides a comprehensive curriculum covering financial reporting and analysis, taxation, and accounting research. This is intended for students with an accounting background and will assist in preparation for the CPA exam by covering necessary topics, such as financial accounting and reporting, taxation, and research concepts. Students take a modified set of core MBA classes through MBU, and the concentration courses through JBU. Data Analytics skills and knowledge have become a necessity in most jobs. The data analytics courses will prepare you to distinguish yourself in the workplace with your ability to construct data and analytical processes to inform strategic insights and decisions.
