Sport Management Program Overview

In the College of Business & Entrepreneurship’s School of Management & Marketing, the sport management program is designed to assist students in developing skills to organize, administer and facilitate sport programs at the corporate, agency, professional and amateur levels. Opportunities are provided to develop knowledge and skills relevant to the performance of these functions. College of Business & Entrepreneurship students are encouraged to join the opportunities for networking with students, faculty, and professionals, such as the Career & Internship Fair, to identify a career path where they can make an impact for God’s glory.

*Qualifying students may spend the equivalent of full-time employment (400 hours) in an appropriate agency for six elective internship credit hours. Prerequisites: 90 hours of accumulated course credit, a minimum of 24 hours of course credit completed in the major, 3.0 GPA in the major, and the internship coordinator’s permission.

  • At least 24 of the last 32 hours taken at Missouri Baptist University
  • Cumulative GPA of at least 2.50 on a 4.00 scale (those seeking certification must achieve a GPA of 2.75)
  • At least 42 hours of Upper Division (54 for a dual degree)
  • At least 120 total credit hours (144 for a dual degree)
