Ayvrie Hamstra
Ayvrie Hamstra is a nursing major from Colorado Springs, Colorado. Ayvrie works as a resident assistant for MBU, and enjoys being part of MBU Outdoors, one of MBU’s student clubs. She tutors at the Student Success Center and the School of Nursing. Ayvrie went with the School of Nursing to Greece and Liberia on a medical mission trip to provide health screenings and education to refugees. She also helped teach midwives how to perform life-saving CPR on infants. After graduation, she wants to work as a nurse in the emergency department.
“I have loved getting the opportunity to come to school at MBU. I have met some of my lifelong friends and gotten to grow in my faith and knowledge. I can not imagine going anywhere else for college.”
