MBU’s Trauma Informed Educator Certificate will help teaching professionals understand the impact of trauma on children they encounter in the classroom/workplace. This 4-course graduate certificate can be completed in less that one year, completely online. The goal of this certification is to raise awareness of trauma-informed practices in the workplace.
This program is offered as senior permission and can be used in the Master of Arts in Teaching graduate degree. After completing the first course, Trauma in the Classroom, students may take the following courses in any order:
- Trauma in the Classroom (taken first)
- The Impact and Effects of Trauma
- Trauma-Informed Practices to Build Student Resilience
- Trauma-Informed Teams and Schools
